Join Inkron as a Chemist or Senior Chemist working with advanced UV-curable optical materials for AR/VR and display waveguide manufacturing in Espoo, Finland. In this role, you will develop next-generation materials for nanoimprinting, waveguides, coatings, and adhesive applications with real technological impact. Apply by January 26th, 2026.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will execute and manage R&D and customer projects related to UV-curable optical materials. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of next-generation materials for nanoimprinting, waveguides, coatings, and adhesive applications.

You will design, synthesize, and characterize new polymers and hybrid materials. Furthermore, you will formulate, optimize, and test UV-curable resins, coatings, and adhesives.

You will also perform optical, mechanical, and reliability testing of developed materials. At the same time, you will work closely with the R&D team, production, and international customers. Finally, you will participate in scale-up, documentation, and the transfer of materials into production.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar
  • Chemist: typically 2–5 years of relevant experience
  • Senior Chemist: 5+ years of relevant experience and ability to lead projects independently
  • Strong background in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, or materials chemistry
  • Experience with UV-curable materials is highly appreciated
  • Understanding of optics, optical coatings, refractive-index engineering,or nanoimprinting is a clear advantage
  • Hands-on, problem-solving, and proactive working style
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
  • Fluent English and good communication skills
  • Team player with an innovative mindset
