Position Overview:
We are looking for a minimum third-year student with hands-on experience in material science, polymer chemistry, or organic chemistry. As a summer employee, you will be involved in the development and production of new siloxane polymer-based optical products.
Your main tasks will include:
- Synthesis of siloxane polymers
- Testing and characterizing these polymers in formulated end products
- Utilizing various analytical methods, such as: DSC, TGA, LFA, DLS, rheometer, DMA, shear strength, spectrophotometer, ellipsometer, viscometer, shore analysis, etc.
Qualifications:
- Experience in organic or polymer synthesis is considered an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in working in an industrial R&D and production environment
